Dalton Harris Unstoppable Favourite For X Factor Title

Dalton Harris is the runaway favourite to win the X Factor after yet another sensational performance saw his odds slashed further as the one to beat.

The Jamaican received overwhelming praise from the judges and stand-in judge, record producer Nile Rodgers, for his rendition of the Mamas & the Papas’ ‘California Dreaming’.

After blowing away judges and the viewer’s once again, we were forced to make Dalton the odds-on 4/6 favourite, shortening in from even money as the support began to grow tenfold for him to win.

Scarlet Lee also impressed with her take on ‘I’ll Never Love Again’ from the film A Star Is Born, which saw her move into second favouritism at 9/2 after a drastic cut from 6/1 as a result.

Shan, who was previously Dalton’s key threat to the title, has been eased out to third in the betting at 6/1 after her odds drifted from 10/3 following mixed views on her performance of ‘Never Enough’ from The Greatest Showman.

A-Star may have narrowly escaped the axe on Sunday after facing the sing-off against Giovanni Spano, who was sent home, but it doesn’t mean they are in the clear this weekend. The duo are tipped to make their exit this week as 6/4 favourites.

Also in danger is Galway native Brendan Murray who is currently the 5/2 second favourite to fall victim to the public vote on Sunday.
