Dancing With The Stars Drama As Two Celebs Battle For Favouritism

In just over a week, 11 new celebrities will be taking to the Dancing With The Stars Ireland dance floor in their sequins and fake tan to showcase their moves, or lack of.

Ireland and Munster rugby legend Peter Stringer is already at loggerheads with another celeb as he is tied for favouritism at 7/2 with Love/Hate and Fair City bad boy Johnny Ward, who was initially installed as a 10/1 shot to get his hands on the Glitterball trophy.

Former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter is also in with a shot at getting her hands on the Glitterball as she sits comfortable in second place in the betting at 9/2. Former Dublin footballer and five-time All-Ireland champion Denis Bastick is next at 11/2. Footballers have a good track record on the show with Aidan O’Mahony winning the first ever series with pro-partner Valeria Milova last year.

There’s more tension between the celebs in the betting as Country singer Cliona Hagan and fashion stylist Darren Kennedy are both 13/2 apiece. Presenter Mairead Ronan is available at 8/1 with Fair City’s Clelia Murphy (18/1), Demi Isaac Oviawe (20/1), comedian Fred Crooke (33/1) and Mrs Browns Boys’ star Eilish O’Carroll (40/1) all outsiders to win.
