Dark Knight Johnny Back As DWTS Firm Favourite, But Mairead Ronan’s the Dark Horse

DWTS Ireland Winner

Movie week on Dancing With The Stars Ireland provided some shock scores, performances and exits after Holly Carpenter became the second celebrity booted from the show.

The former Miss Ireland couldn’t hide her disappointment at being giving her marching orders on Sunday evening, which left many fans scratching their heads as she had been a 25/1 shot to be eliminated.

One celeb who most certainly defied her elimination odds and then some was Clelia Murphy, who was the 9/4 second favourite for the chop on Sunday

…but instead went out and scored the highest score so far this series, securing 26 points for her Saturday Night Fever-inspired salsa.
However, it seems the betting isn’t taking much heed of the leaderboard as the Fair City star remains a firm outsider to win at 33/1.

Johnny Ward lived out a childhood dream of his on Sunday when he transformed into Batman for a Viennese Waltz which earned him second place on the leaderboard with 25 points. The Love/Hate star suffered a drift as the favourite last week seeing his odds eased out to 6/4 from 11/8, but after another impressive performance he has shortened into the 13/10 frontrunner.

Cliona Hagan was breathing down Johnny’s neck at 7/4, but after placing fourth on the leaderboard with 21 points for her Legally Blonde-themed jive, punters have cooled off on the country singer, resulting in her odds being pushed out to 2/1.

Mairead Ronan is continuing to make her way up the betting ranks after yet another highly praised and well-received performance. The presenter embodied Julie Roberts in Pretty Woman and landed a score of 22 for her tango, seeing punters rush to lap up her 13/2 and BoyleSports traders were forced to cut her into 5/1.
