Former Man United and Everton boss David Moyes has been tipped to take over as Scotland manager following the news that Gordon Strachan has stepped down after his second failed World Cup qualification attempt.

Moyes has been installed as the 7/4 favourite to replace Strachan.

Current performance director, Malky McKay is next in the betting to succeed Strachan at 4/1 while 2007 Scotland gaffer Alex McLeish is priced at 8/1.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is in the running at 9/1 alongside former England manager Sam Allardyce.

Michael O’Neill, who led Northern Ireland to the last 16 in Euro 2016 and to the play-offs for the 2018 World Cup, is priced at 10/1 with Paul Lambert 12/1 to lead the squad for the Euro 2020 campaign.

Former Celtic and current Hibernian manager Neil Lennon can be backed at 16/1.
