Dettori Favourite To Deliver Advertise Another Group 1

Frankie Dettori is making headlines again this week as he confirmed plans to hit Killarney next Wednesday for their racing festival.

There is another big event before he heads to Ireland though as he is riding the 3/1 favourite Advertise this Saturday in the July Cup at Newmarket.

This 3-year old son of Showcasing teamed up with Dettori and won the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup last month, staying on strongly to deny Forever In Dreams by 1½ lengths.

The Martyn Meade trained bay will be trying to claim a third Group 1 with the Phoenix Stakes already on his CV.

Ten Sovereigns was back in fourth place that day and disappointed favourite backers, but his trainer Aidan O’Brien will be aiming for a fifth July Cup with the course and distance winner, to share the record of five wins with his Ballydoyle predecessor Vincent O’Brien and Charles Morton.

We have Ten Sovereigns at 8/1 from 10/1 with his stablemates Fairyland at 10/1 trimmed from 14/1 and So Perfect (16/1).

Fairyland is the main mover in the market with some local support for her earlier in the week. She has been out of the frame recently but is another course and distance winner that could prove some good each way value.

The second favourite is Dream Of Dreams for Sir Michael Stoute who was just denied by Blue Point in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes last month. This 5-year old has won two of his three starts this season and remains a popular choice at 10/3.
