Don Cossack Backed To Retain Gold Cup Glory In 2017

The Cheltenham festival is over for another year, but BoyleSports are already looking to 2017 and have markets available for eager punters.

Gordon Elliott’s Don Cossack is heading the betting at 5/2 to win back to back Gold Cups next year.

Willie Mullins’ Vautour is next at 6/1 with another Mullins’ horse with Douvan available at 10/1 to go one better next year.

Douvan does however lead the charge in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at 5/4 with this year’s winner, the Nicky Henderson trained Sprinter Sacre next at 5/1 and runner up Un De Sceaux priced at 6/1.

Colin Tizzard’s Thistlecrack rode to success in the World Hurdle and is 3/1 to mirror his win in 2017. Runner up, Alpha Des Obeaux is priced at 6/1 with Nichols Canyon on offer at 8/1 and both Barters Hill and Unowhatimeanharry 16/1 shots.

Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle winner Yorkhill is currently tipped to take the Arkle Challenge Trophy Chase at the festival next year at 5/2. Willie Mullins’ Min, who fell short of the mark in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, finishing second to Altior, is currently 7/1 for the Arkle.

In the Champion Hurdle Challenge, Trophy Annie Power is just behind stablemate Faugheen for favouritism at 5/2 to retain the title.
