Dorotas Wildcat Cut Further For Another English Greyhound Derby Title

English Greyhound Derby

Outright Betting

Dorotas Wildcat produced his fastest sectional and clock last Friday at Nottingham in the third round of the English Greyhound Derby recording a career best run of 29.28.

It seems that last year’s Derby champion is getting better with every race…

and the Kevin Hutton trained star has been slashed into 9/2 from 6/1.

Clonbrien Prince has been cut into 6/1 from 10/1 to become the joint second favourite alongside Magical Bale after his 29.19 performance beating the BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby champion Ballyanne Sim.

Prince has exceptional pace and has really taken to the Colwick Park circuit but has been drawn in trap five in the next round which will be his biggest test so far.

Droopys Verve, who was runner up in the 2018 English Greyhound Derby final behind Dorotas Wildcat, returned to winning ways in heat two on Friday night producing a juicy 29.14 to win by over seven lengths.

He has shortened into 8/1 from 9/1 and faces a tricky quarter-final heat this Saturday with the likes of Priceless Blake and Roxholme Jim on his inside.

Skywalker Logan broke the track record in the first round but has found trouble in the last two heats, giving himself a lot of work to and remains at 8/1.

Magical has reignited his old spark winning his last two heats and we’re offering 6/1 on the Kevin Hutton trained speedster, cut from 10/1.

The Droopys Prefix is a 6/1 shot to be the Winning Prefix with Roxholme (16/1) and Lemon (20/1). In the Winning Seed market, the favourite is the rails at 1/8, wide (15/2) and Middle (14/1).

Ballyanne Sim was a massive loser for us when he won the BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby at Shelbourne Park last September and now he is our biggest loser in the English Greyhound Derby, so we hope the lightning doesn’t strike twice. Dorotas Wildcat and Droopys Verve are our other losers but everything else would give us a black book at this stage.
