The luck was shining on the Cavan punter when they placed a €10 bet in their local BoyleSports shop on numbers 3, 16 and 33 all to come out in the main EuroMillions draw on Friday evening.

A nervous wait on the last number ended when 16 rolled out, meaning their optimism had paid off in the best way possible and with all three numbers revealed, odds of 1,500/1 were smashed.

The run of numbers meant the customer was able to swap the €10 betting slip the next day for a cool total of €15,010.

The champagne was popping in the capital on Friday night when a fortunate local landed the most stylish of big wins thanks to their lucky Lotto numbers.

The punter had placed a tiny €0.25 bet in a BoyleSports shop in Dublin on Friday for that evening’s main EuroMillions draw.

Their small investment stood to win them a four-figure sum if numbers 1, 3, 16 and 33 came out in the draw. When all four did indeed roll out, odds of 33,000/1 were smashed within seconds.

The lucky customer was able to walk off with a total of €8,250.25 when they collected their winnings.
