Drag It Up Daithi For Rose Of Tralee

The Roses have arrived in Tralee ahead of the the festival which gets underway this weekend. The battle for Rose of Tralee is well and truly on and Haley O’Sullivan will be handing over her crown in just a few days.

We have a range of specials available ahead of the competition on Monday and Tuesday. There hasn’t been an Irish regional winner since 2008 when Aoife Kelly, the Tipperary Rose won, but we’re offering Even money that the winner will be from one of the thirty-two counties.

Presenter Daíthí Ó Sé is a hands on man and is not afraid to help out a Rose should they need it. The Kerry man is 7/1 to don an item of women’s clothing throughout the two shows.

One of the key parts of the Rose of Tralee is meeting the beautiful ladies and last year’s winner may not have had an act but this year the winning act is 3/1 to be a song. No act is on offer at 7/2 while the winning Rose to perform a dance is on offer at 11/2. Poems are always a popular choice but at 9/1 it looks unlikely the winner will recite a line or two.

These ladies have been working on their perfect outfit for weeks and with the final touches added they will no doubt look beautiful. The last thing any Rose wants is a dress malfunction which is a 7/1 shot. Nerves can overtake some ladies and a Rose to fall on stage is priced at 10/1.
