€1 Lotto Flutter Transforms Into Four Figures In Kildare

A Co. Kildare punter is basking in the glory of a spectacular Lotto coup following a tiny punt that paid off in style this week.

The anonymous customer’s road to riches began with a tiny €1 investment in their local BoyleSports shop in the county on Tuesday as they opted for four numbers in that evening’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.

They faced mammoth odds of 7,500/1 and needed numbers 13, 17, 23 and 27 all to land in the draw to secure the payout.

But the odds tumbled as fast as the numbers as they dropped from the machine to scenes of celebration in the household of the Kildare native.

They were able to return to the shop the next day and walk away with a tidy €7,501 for their night’s work.
