€20 Wager Lands Almost €6,000 For Cavan Punter

A native in County Cavan is popping the champagne after three horse racing results went their way and allowed them to walk off with a tidy sum of €5,932.00.

The three winners were 6/1, 8/1 and 9/1 with the bet costing €20. The anonymous punter visited their local BoyleSports shop and picked three horses in Tipperary on Thursday afternoon and placed an €8 treble and three €4 cross doubles with the total stake adding to €20.

Humm Baby was the first winner on the betting slip to land for our customer in the 6.45 race, and he got the job done nicely winning by four lengths at 6/1 for Gold Cup winning jockey Paul Townend.

One hour later Paul Townend completed a double in the 7.45 race as Ask And Answer obliged for trainer Sean Aherne at 8/1 with two lengths to spare.

It was down to the last race of the day, the 8.20, with Uisce Solas winning comfortably at 7/1 but our punter had placed his bets early before the money came and got 9/1.

With all three selections winning,

the customer’s €8 treble collected €5,040.00 and the three €4 cross doubles added to €892.00.

It was after the last race at Tipperary that the Co Cavan native was able to call back into our shop to collect a whopping €5,932.00 from a €20 stake. Just in time for the weekend.
