Can Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side fly the flag for Great Britain against the German outfit who defeated West Ham in the semis?

They sure will feel confident having dispatched of RB Leipzig – a tougher opponent than Frankfurt based on both club’s domestic seasons in the Bundesliga.

Furthermore, having been pipped to the Scottish Premiership title this week by fierce rivals Celtic, there will almost certainly be a burning desire to make sure silverware comes back to Ibrox to make up for it.

Incredibly, Frankfurt, who also beat Barcelona in the quarter-finals, are down in 12th place in the Bundesliga and have not won a league game since March 13th – a run of seven matches.

Furthermore, their top goalscorer has just SEVEN goals this season in the shape of Rafael Borre. But goals have been shared around different areas of the pitch, so they aren’t reliant solely on one man.

Ones to also consider are Croatian forward Filip Kostic, Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada and French defender Evan Ndicka.

Despite their poor domestic form, in terms of the match betting, Frankfurt are the slight favourites at 5/4 at the time of writing, while Rangers are 2/1 to win in normal time. The draw is 5/2.

But we all know finals are made for extra-time, and dreaded penalties, so take a look at our Method of Victory markets below. Perhaps we’ll see it done after 120 minutes, with the Germans at 9/1 and Rangers at a more eye-catching 11/1.

Rangers have proven on a number of occasions this season they’re no slouches in front of goal, with some entertaining goal blitzes. The Total Goals market is intriguing with the Over 3.5 & Over 4.5 goals markets tasty prices at 2/1 and 9/2 respectively.

Individually, they have the players to take them to glory. However, “El Bufalo” Alfredo Morelos – top scorer with 11 – sadly won’t take part as he’s been out injured since March. It’s a big shame we won’t see him in the final.

And Kemar Roofe – 10 goals – is still doubtful having been out for weeks with injury but is 9/2 to score first. But perhaps their hopes will be pinned on Zambian attacker Fashion Sakala, who has nine SPL strikes, who’s 13/2 to strike first. Midfielder Joe Aribo is also one to keep an eye on for goals and assists, having found the back of the net eight times, 7/1 to net first.

The alarming stat for the above two, thought, is neither have scored in Europe this season – so what a time to step up.

Aaron Ramsey and Manchester United loan winger Amad Diallo will be good picks for the First and Anytime Goalscorer market if you want to look elsewhere.

Captain James Tavernier will be the shrewd pick with higher odds, and he’s likely to be on penalties also. He’s absolutely worth keeping an eye on having notched nice goals this season for a defender. He’s 9/1 to score first, 10/3 anytime.
