Erling Haaland Odds Shorten For Premier League Golden Boot
Erling Haaland is already being backed at short prices to finish the season as top goalscorer after marking his debut in the Premier League with two goals against West Ham.
The Norwegian striker opened his account with a first half penalty, before wrapping up a 2-0 victory for the defending champions with a composed finish after 65 minutes.
Manchester City have already been trimmed into 8/15 from 8/13 in the betting to win a third consecutive title, while Liverpool have drifted to 10/3 from 5/2 after their opening draw at Fulham.
Haaland’s golden boot prospects are also much hotter after just one match having shortened into 11/8 from 5/2.
It was a contrasting start for city neighbours Manchester United, who went down to a 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton on Erik ten Hag’s Premier League bow.
That has seen the Red Devils eased to 10/3 from 7/4 for a top four finish, while ten Hag himself has made an unwanted move into 20/1 from 40/1 to be the first managerial casualty of the Premier League season.
