Find out who we think you should put your money on alongside Euro 2020 odds for winners of the highlight opening games in the long-awaited 16th European championships.

Group Stage Predictions
On Friday 11th June, one of football’s major tournaments kicks off – and the group stages begin. Traditionally, teams often play it safe – looking to avoid a first game loss. Let’s look at which teams are playing and who we think will start the European championship as they mean to go on:

Turkey v Italy
The tournament kicks off with Turkey v Italy and we won’t expect too much action at Stadio Olimpico. Going into the tournament, Turkey has looked surprisingly good and managed to score four goals against The Netherlands and conceding only one goal in their three warm-up games. However, Italy is a team also doing well under Roberto Mancini. The team remains unbeaten since 2018 and could well be the dark horses of this competition.

The team has managed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven matches but this may not be as easy against Turkey.
Our Predictions: Italy to win: 1/2

Belgium v Russia
Belgium is one of the favourites to win the tournament this year and should certainly make it through Group B – as group winners – and it’s no surprise with players such as Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard and is considered by many to be the golden generation of the Belgian football squad. They did very well in the World Cup and were beaten only in the tournament by France, the world champions.

The Red Devils have had excellent qualifiers and are looking strong.
Russia’s form hasn’t been quite as good and the team doesn’t look as though it has what it takes to beat Belgium. This one looks to be pretty straightforward.
Our Predictions: Belgium to win with a -2 Handicap – 5/1

Netherlands v Ukraine
The most exciting game in Group C looks set to be Netherlands v Ukraine. You never know what you will get when Holland plays – but being in the North Macedonia group, they stand a good chance of making it through to the knockout stages of the tournament.

Some believe that Frank de Boer could lead his side to a surprise Euro 2020 win, however, there are some Dutch fans who don’t agree. However, that being said, they should have enough to beat Ukraine in their Group C match.
Our Euro 2020 Prediction: The Netherlands to beat Ukraine – 8/13

England v Croatia
There is a score to be settled by The Three Lions after the World Cup 2018 defeat to Croatia in the semi-final. This Group D game looks set to offer up a hugely exciting fixture. Punters will be pleased to know that England is not only the favourite for group winners of Group D but also to win Euro 2020 outright.

What’s more, they will have the home advantage playing at Wembley Stadium. We did have our money on England to win earlier, especially with Harry Kane looking to get the Euro 2020 Golden Boot award, but we will see – there are a lot of good teams to contend with.

At the same time, despite being runners up in the World Cup 2018, things haven’t been as good for second place Croatia. They only managed to win one of their Nations League fixtures last year.

As it stands, England seems to have the most talented squad in Group D and we expect them to manage a win against Croatia.
Our Prediction: England to beat Croatia: 7/10

Scotland v Czech Republic
In fairness, it looks unlikely that Scotland will make it through the group stages, especially against England and Croatia. Their only realistic chance of making it is by being one of the four third-place teams. As such, this will be an important match for both teams.

The Czech Republic are seen as favourites to win this, which is odd considering the Scots managed to beat the Czech Republic twice in last year’s Nations League. So, our Euro 2020 prediction for this goes in Scotland’s favour.
Our Prediction: Scotland to beat The Czech Republic – 2/1

Spain v Sweden
The first game for Spain in Group C is Sweden. Spain is by far the better team of the two, and all the betting odds are in their favour. Although Sweden goes into the match with a good number of wins under its belt, these opponents didn’t have the quality of the Spanish squad and not only could Spain win the match and Group C, but they could win the Henri Delaunay trophy – become Champions of Euro 2020 and take home one of the sport’s biggest prizes – again.
Our Prediction: Spain to beat Sweden – 4/9

France v Germany
Well, this will certainly be a hotly anticipated match with Group F being touted as the group of death – having France, Germany and Portugal. It may be that one team goes through as one of the four third-placed teams. Both teams will be looking to win not just their group stage, but also the tournament.

World Champions, France, will be full of confidence after their 2018 World Cup win and will certainly not want to follow this up by getting knocked out in the group stages. They have impressive young players including Kylian Mbappe, who has already made a big name for himself in international football and will want to put his name in the ring for the Golden Boot.

With the game being played on home soil at the Allianz Arena, this swings the odds into the German’s favour and although many will be backing France, they have what it takes to beat the French team – and the four-time World Champions can never be ruled out!
Our Euro 2020 predictions: Germany to beat France – 15/7

Hungary v Portugal
Our final prediction… Portugal not only has won the last European championships, but their entire squad is absolutely sickening. As well as having a huge amount of talent between them, they are being led by Cristiano Ronaldo who will more than likely want to go for the spot as top goalscorer.

However, the Euro 2020 tournament has put them in the group of death – and with France and Germany to beat as well, this will be a tough time for the current champions and if they do get out of Group F alive, then they could well be odds on to get into the final!
This should be the easiest match of the summer’s tournament for the current title holders, Portugal, and we expect this Euro 2020 match to be won by Ronaldo and his team.
Our Predictions: Portugal to beat Hungary – 1/2

Our Last Prediction
So, will this be the year England finally gets the trophy and brings it home, or will they get knocked out in the Round of 16? With England, anything is possible. However, our last prediction is that England will at least make it to the semi-finals: with odds of 4/6.
