Brendan Rodgers The Early Favourite For Leicester Post

Next Permanent Leicester Manager

Next Permanent Leicester Manager

Brendan Rodgers is the man seeing the overwhelming bulk of early money in the betting to become the next permanent Leicester City manager after Claude Puel was sacked on Sunday.

The Foxes were on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday evening in what was the sixth defeat in their last seven fixtures, a run which has seen them sink to 12th in the Premier League table just 8 points clear of the relegation zone.

We had installed Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers as the 5/6 favourite to succeed Puel on Sunday afternoon

But that has already closed into 4/6 after the rush to get on the former Liverpool boss making an imminent return to the Premier League.

Former Huddersfield boss David Wagner has also seen some early support in the market, closing into 6/1 from 9/1, while former Foxes midfielder Neil Lennon is also in the running at 10/1 having recently parted company with Hibernian.

Outsiders include managerial newcomers Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard at 25/1, while David Moyes and Arsene Wenger are both 33/1 to make a return to the Premier League in the King Power Stadium dugout.
