In-form Larne Shorten For Opening Day Win Over Dungannon

Larne are all the rage with punters ahead of the new league season after they reached the semi-finals of the County Antrim Shield on Tuesday night.

Tiernan Lynch’s men followed up last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat of Ballyclare Comrades with an impressive 4-0 victory over Crusaders.

They have now warmed up for the new campaign by winning four consecutive matches without conceding a goal.

Their stunning league form before lockdown in March, which featured six consecutive victories, is now being strongly backed to continue this weekend as they prepare to kick off the new Danske Bank Premiership season at home to Dungannon Swifts.

The Invermen have already shortened into 1/2 from 1/4 to take all three points from Saturday’s encounter, with another victory and clean sheet just 23/20 from 6/4.

Support for the County Antrim side to go all the way and win the league title this season is also on the rise as their odds were clipped into 12/1 from 16/1.
