Seeley’s Selections – Saturday’s Live Premier League

Chelsea make the long journey up to the North East again on Saturday afternoon in the early Premier League 12.45pm kick-off.

Newcastle v Chelsea, Saturday 12:45, live on BT Sport 1
Just last week they made a similar journey and where held to a 0-0 draw with Sunderland and I can see Jose Mourinho’s side being frustrated yet again in this one.

The Blues are the Boylesports 1/4 favourites to win another Premier League title and are just 1/2 to take a huge step towards it with three points here. I’m not a fan of odds on aways in this division or any division for that matter and at that price, it’s hard to see much value in the odds.

Chelsea will have Diego Costa back from suspension for this one and the Spanish international is 3/4 to mark his return with a goal and Boylesports’ 11/4 favourite to open the scoring.

I like the draw though at Boylesports’ massive offer of 10/3 as I can see Alan Pardew’s side trying to employ similar tactics as Sunderland, parking the Black and White bus for 90 minutes, and I think they just might get away with it.

I can’t see many goals here either.

Eight of the last ten Newcastle games have featured less than three goals and in five of their last six games, both teams have failed to score. 20/23 with Boylesports on under 2.5 goals in my opinion is a better bet than the 3/4 on both teams failing to score, but I really couldn’t put you off either.

Chelsea’s last four games have also seen both teams failing to score as well and in three of those matches they have won to nil. If you are contemplating a bet on the Premier League favourites, then that is the best way to go at 13/10 with Boylesports rather than just a win, as if they are going to get three points it’s likely to be by a shut-out.

Newcastle are 13/2 here with Boylesports to produce a major shock and they will take great encouragement from their 2-0 win in this fixture last season which is 33/1 to happen again.

Chelsea have only won once in their last four visits to St James’ Park and if they can get something from this one they will fancy their chances of remaining unbeaten for the season.

I can’t see much in the way of goals in this early kick-off and I’m prepared to say it could be a repeat of the dull Sunderland clash last week I can another 0-0 and no goalscorer in the game would be way of playing at Boylesports’ 9/1.

IF you can find a goalscorer in this one, remember DOUBLE BUBBLE! Boylesports will double the odds of your winning selection if your players scores inside the first 20 minutes.

Seeley’s Selections:
Draw @ 10/3
Under 2.5 Goals @ 20/23
No Goalscorer @ 9/1

Man City v Everton, Saturday 5:30, live on Sky Sports 1
If goals aren’t expected in the early live Premier League offering, the same can’t be said about the Saturday evening offering when Manchester City and Everton clash at the Etihad.

City are finally showing their true colours and they will fancy their chances of keeping the recent good run going in this one but at 1/2 with Boylesports, are they really any value?

I think they will win the game, but I couldn’t get involved in that price especially when they travel to Rome next week in a “must win” Champions League clash with Roma, which is much more important to them than Saturday’s clash against the Toffees.
Saying that though, I couldn’t recommend a play on the visitors at Boylesports’ 6/1 either.

Roberto Martinez’ men were shocking in the second half performance against Hull in midweek and were booed of the pitch by the Goodison Park faithful. They were also poor in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane and Martinez has blamed “tiredness” for the recent performance.

You really don’t want to be half asleep when you travel to the Champions. Martinez famously masterminded Wigan’s FA Cup triumph over City but in the Premier League it’s a totally different story. He’s played them ten times as a manager and never been on a winning side with nine losses and one draw, and even with European distractions, that unwanted run will continue in this one.

One thing which is certain in this clash though is goals. City have scored at least two goals in their last five matches and have grabbed ten in the last three and in their last six games, both teams have scored in five of them with Everton arriving here with the exact recent record.

That makes both teams scoring in this one a cracking wager at Boylesports’ massive 4/6 and if you weren’t convinced already then try this stat. In their last 17 Premier League clashes with Everton, the champions have kept just one clean sheet….you know what to do!

A City 4-2 win is available at 28/1 and a 5-2 win is a 50/1 shot with Boylesports and that’s the kind of game I’m expecting, so if you have a Christmas Party booked don’t leave until after this match because this will be a classic.

When it comes to a first goalscorer it’s impossible to look past Sergio Aguero.
The Argentinian is on fire at the moment scoring 14 goals from 14 leagues games this season. He’s scored seven times in his last eight home appearances and he netted in both league clashes last season with Everton. He’s Boylesports’ 5/2 favourite to open the floodgates on Saturday night and 4/7 to score at anytime. Both look fair on his current form.

And remember, if Aguero or any of your winning first goalscorer selections score the first goal inside 20 minutes this weekend in the all Premier League matches, Boylesports will double the odds on your winning selection via their super DOUBLE BUBBLE offer.

B Lucky!
