The Force Is With May For Next Tory Leader

Next Conservative Party Leader

Outright Betting

After winning the first round of the Conservative Party leadership vote, Theresa May is now the 1/5 front-runner to take over as Tory Party chief.

After a tumultuous few weeks in British politics, it looks like the race for Next Conservative Party leader is Theresa May’s to lose.

May won half the votes in Tuesday’s ballot, with Liam Fox and Stephen Crabb dropping out of the race.

However, in 2005 David Cameron finished second in the first vote on party leadership before winning the second one, which will give some hope to Andrea Leadsom who can be backed at 4/1.

Conservative MPs will vote today, Thursday, on the final two leadership candidates and the betting suggests Michael Gove will be eliminated. Gove, who was a leading Brexit campaigner, is 16/1 to become the Conservative Party’s next leader.
