The money-spinning showdown will be the fourth meeting between the clubs this season with a win apiece in the league, while Nottingham Forest got the better of their FA Cup fifth round tie at the City Ground in March before succumbing to eventual winners Liverpool in the quarter-finals.

Steve Cooper’s side finished two points worse off than their opponents in the final Championship table, but their penalty shootout victory over Sheffield United has given them the chance to taste top-flight football for the first time since the 1998/99 season.

The East Midlands side are set kick off as favourites…

Having already been clipped into 21/20 from 11/8 in the betting to win the match in normal time.

Forest have also been trimmed into 17/2 from 9/1 to earn promotion via another penalty shootout following goalkeeper Brice Samba’s heroics in the semi-final, which saw him save three Blades spot kicks.

Underdogs Huddersfield, who progressed with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Luton, have been eased slightly to 13/5 from 9/4 despite boasting the better head-to-head form with eight wins in their last twelve league matches against Nottingham Forest.
