Frodon Odds Shorten For King George Following Down Royal Performance

The Paul Nicholls trained Frodon is being backed to bag another King George title after his epic victory in the Champion Chase at Down Royal on Saturday.

This wonderful 9-year-old servant never gives up as he battled hard to beat Galvin by ¾ of a length over the 3m trip.

Frodon is no stranger to Grade One success and now this loveable warrior is 8/1 from 12/1 to win another King George at Kempton.

The Gordon Elliott trained Galvin put in a gallant effort and has now seen his odds tumble into 16/1 from 25/1 for the Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

Envoi Allen returned to winning ways in the Grade Two Chase winning comfortably by 22 lengths under a cool ride from Rachael Blackmore. This 2020 Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle winner has been trimmed into 8/1 from 11/1 for the Gold Cup, 7/1 from 12/1 for the Ryanair Chase and 8/1 from 12/1 for the King George.

Other winners on Saturday included the Gordon Elliott trained Eskylane who is 10/1 from 16/1 for the Greatwood Hurdle next month. Fusil Raffles won the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby and is 10/1 from 16/1 for the Paddy Power Gold Cup and 16/1 from 33/1 for the Ryanair Chase.
