Gamble On 2nd Referendum This Year Sees Odds Collapse

The chances of a second UK referendum on European Union membership have crumbled according to the odds after Labour signalled they would back a People’s Vote.

Jeremy Corbyn said on Monday that his party would back calls for a second vote to prevent a ‘damaging Tory Brexit’ if his withdrawal plan is rejected in Parliament this week.

The shift in position has seen a resurgence of money for a second referendum to take place before the year is out.

The odds have shrunk into just 13/8 with us having been out at 4/1 at the start of the week.

There has also been a huge gamble on Brexit getting delayed beyond next month’s scheduled leave date, with the UK now a massive odds-on shot at 1/7 to still be a member of the EU on March 30th. Those odds had been 4/11 only yesterday, and you can now snap up 4/1 quotes if you think that Brexit will actually go ahead on time.
