Gambled St Michel The Choice For Cesarewitch

Popular gamble St Michel just scraped into Saturday’s Cesarewitch at Newmarket and remains the 6/1 favourite to win the valuable handicap.

Antepost punters ended their nervous wait to see if St Michel would make the cut for the race but it’s not all good for backers as he has been drawn from stall 32 which will be very difficult to overcome.

David Pipe’s Starchitect is hot on his heels at 7/1 with Jamie Spencer a notable booking…

…whilst last year’s winner Grumeti is 33/1 to win the race back to back.

Tony Martin will be hoping that either Golden Spear (20/1) or Moonmeister (25/1) can claim the valuable prize pot.
The other Irish raiders are Willie Mullins Renneti (20/1) and the Jessica Harrington trained Modem (25/1).

Oriental Fox who finished second in the race last year is priced at 16/1 to go one better.
