Lowry Odds Shrinking To Land Major Title In 2021

Both Shane Lowry and Padraig Harrington’s performance at last week’s US PGA Championship has caught the eye of golf punters with support arriving this week for the pair.

The Irishmen played together in the final round at Kiawah Island and finished joint fourth on two under par,

…four behind winner Phil Mickelson with their chances of landing a major title this year shortening.

BoyleSports traders had priced Shane Lowry up at 25/1 to win one of the remaining majors this year but those chances are now into 18/1 while Harrington has been cut into 100/1 from 150/1 to win the Open Championship.

Europe are 6/4 to win this year’s Ryder Cup and while it’s still unknown if Shane Lowry will make his debut this year, Captain Padraig Harrington is already being backed to be Captain for the 2023 Ryder Cup with those odds into 6/1 from 10/1. Lowry is a short 1/10 to be Captain at anytime in the future and is just 7/1 to win a major title in 2022.
