Despite a triple bogey at the par three fourth hole, the Offaly man still managed a final round of 69 at Augusta on Sunday to finish in tied-3rd behind maiden major Scottie Scheffler.

Lowry has now shortened into 9/1 from 12/1 in the betting to win a second career major in one of the three remaining big ones this year

…with his next chance coming in next month’s PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Oklahoma.

He has also been backed into 25/1 from 40/1 to get his hands on the Claret Jug for a second time at The Open at St. Andrew’s in July, while the chances of him becoming the first Irishman to wear the Green Jacket at next year’s Masters have been clipped into 28/1 from 45/1.

Rory McIlroy grabbed his share of the headlines on Sunday with a stunning round of 64 to finish runner-up to Scheffler and he is now a 7/2 shot from 9/2 to add to his major tally this season.
