Huge Price Cut On Inforapenny To Claim Gold Cup Glory
Co. Cork trainer Kieran Lynch is through to the semi-finals of the Best Car Parks Gold Cup at Shelbourne Park with Inforapenny who has been hammered to go all the way and claim the €20,000 prize.
This son of Farloe Rumble – Rios Girl ran a massive race on Saturday night to book his spot in the last twelve after he produced a fine effort to win in 28.28. He was fast from traps and set the pace, but Deadly Destroyer chased him down and hit the front at the third bend.
However, Inforapenny wasn’t giving up that easy and snatched his lead back coming off the last bend which has seen his odds tumble into 12/1 from 50/1 for Gold Cup glory.
Liam Dowling’s Ballymac Cashout clocked the fastest time of the competition so far with a blistering 28.01 from trap five. His odds have been cut in half to 3/1 from 6/1 meaning he is the new favourite to give his trainer back-to-back wins in the race.
Cashout showed huge pace to take up the lead and he won by five lengths with Knocknaboul Syd back in third which has seen his chances nibbled into 7/2 from 4/1.
Boylesports Bingo landed heat three for trainer Paul Hennessy in 28.28 in a four dog race and remains 14/1. Iconic Rory got back to winning ways in fine style by recording 28.15 beating Blastoff Fire and Ballymac Art. Rory is now 7/1 from 20/1 for trainer Patrick Norris.
