Hermosa The New Favourite For Coronation Stakes

Hermosa is the new leader in the antepost market for the Coronation Stakes after she sealed a Guineas double in style on Sunday.

The English 1000 Guineas winner at Newmarket earlier in the month went off the 5/2 favourite to claim the Irish equivalent at the Curragh on Sunday and favourite backers weren’t let down as she made all the running yet again to complete the double.

Hermosa was cut into 2/1 favourite from 5/1 to follow in the footsteps of Winter and go on to take the Coronation Stakes at Ascot next month.

Zabeel Prince meanwhile has entered the reckoning for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot next month after catching the eye of punters in France on Sunday.

The recent Earl of Sefton Stakes winner scored a first Group 1 victory in the Prix d’Ispahan at Longchamp and Roger Varian’s six-year-old was the immediate subject of antepost support.

He is 10/1 from 20/1 in the Queen Anne Antepost market and 14/1 from 25/1 for the Prince of Wales Stakes.
