Jury Duty Is Ready To Retain American Grand National

Jury Duty ran a good race at Gowran Park in his prep for the American Grand National which he won with me last year.

Connections were very pleased with how he got on and he heads to America now. I’ll be in Chepstow this weekend and then I’ll be over to America to partner him.

I think it will be a tougher race this year. Willie Mullins is sending over Wicklow Brave, Gordon Elliot is sending a couple and I think Nicky Henderson is sending Brain Power so it should be a much tougher race but Jury Duty has been there and done it before.

He handles all the travelling and hopefully he can do it again.

Jett ran a good race in his first outing of the season and I’d imagine a step up in trip is likely for him. If the race suits you might see him over 3 mile the next time. It was a good performance from Snow Falcon. He’s a good horse, he’s fresh and he was a winner of a Kerry National this time last year and went on to win the Grade 2 race at Down Royal too.

David’s Charm won the Grade 3 at Tipperary and it was a very good race from him. Petit Mouchoir and Ballyoisin went very quickly up front and that played into the hands of David’s Charm. With the two of them cutting each other’s throats it left the race open for him but take nothing away from David’s Charm he’s been a model of consistency for connections.

In the Grade 3 Novice Hurdle I rode Rips Dream and it was a really nice performance from Turnpike Trip to win it. He looked like he was going to win quite well but then made a hash of the last and had to dig deep to win. Put The Kettle On for Henry De Bromhead ran a cracking race in the Grade 3 Novice Chase(4.35) and did absolutely nothing wrong.

I thought with a good jump at the last I had the better of Robin De Carlow but she just had that bit more up her sleeve.
