Meath Punter Wins Over €7,000 On Horse Racing Bet From €5 Stake

There was a very happy punter in Co. Meath on Tuesday evening after their €2.50 each-way double on horses at Brighton and Newton Abbot both won at mammoth odds returning a stunning €7,278.13.

The Meath native was dreaming big when they placed the bet on their online account selecting two horses at 33/1.

The first winner to oblige was Nervous Nerys in the 5.15 Brighton for trainer Alex Hales and jockey Amelia Glass. The three-year old filly got up on the line to win by a short head and returned at odds of 20/1.

Forty-five minutes later the second winner landed in the 5.45 Newton Abbot when Russian’s Legacy won by a head in a thrilling finish.

When the customer placed the bet, the Gail Haywood-trained horse was 33/1 but he was returned at a huge 80/1. Thanks to our best odds guaranteed, the client was paid out at 80/1.

An additional €4,212.38 was added from Russian’s Legacy returning at the bigger odds and it meant the customer saw a windfall of €7,278.13 added to their online account balance, from a stake of just €5.
