2.30 Chesham Stakes

“I’m going to go against the favourite Alfred Munnings. He is a very short price for the Chesham Stakes.

“He has only had one run and was impressive at Leopardstown but the horse that finished second to him Segomo ran in the Curragh after that, and the race was won by Crypto Force.

“He beat him a lot further than what Alfred Munnings beat him by so he is my choice. He is the value choice for trainer Michael O’Callaghan.

“He is a smart horse and will handle the ground very well. He came out of his race at the Curragh very well, so he looks the one at nice odds.”

3.05 Jersey Stakes

“I fancy the favourite Noble Truth who is the highest rated horse in the race. He was very good the last day when winning at Newmarket.

“Henry De Bromhead’s filly Star Girls Aalmal had a good run in the Curragh finishing fourth behind Homeless Songs in the 1000 Guineas.

“I think she is better with a bit of juice in the ground, and she is not going to get that ground at Royal Ascot. It’s very quick and the rain is not due until late Saturday so I’m sticking with the favourite.”

3.40 Hardwicke Stakes

“Hurricane Lane is obviously the class horse in the race, but I think it’s going to be a hard race for him to win on his seasonal debut. He will handle the ground.

“Broome had a very nice run the last day at the Curragh and he had a form boost with State Of Rest winning so he is the value bet in the race.

“Noel Meade’s Layfayette will handle the ground and is on the search for his fourth win on the bounce. He will be rattling home and finishing well.”

4.20 Platinum Jubilee

Home Affairs is a very classy horse. He beat Nature Strip in Australia who then won the King’s Stand Stakes on Tuesday and annihilated the field.

“I don’t think anything will get near Home Affairs and Australian sprinters are the best in the world.

“A Case Of You could run a big race and he is versatile on the ground but Home Affairs is a different calibre to him so hopefully he finishes second to him.”
