Stayers’ Hurdle Betting Tips For Cheltenham Festival | Robbie Power

Robbie Power has singled out Flooring Porter as big danger in this year’s Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

The Gold Cup and Grand National winning jockey told Leon Blanche that he is the value in the betting for the race, after his run at Leopardstown during the Christmas Festival. Take a look below.

He said: “This is a cracking renewal of the Stayer’s Hurdle. Flooring Porter is great value at 4/1. He ran with huge credit at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival considering the way the race started. The race was a farce, it should have been a false start. It was a disgrace that they were let go first time. Klassical Dream anticipated the start and should have been pulled back.

“Based on that I think Flooring Porter is great value. Stamina is what he is all about and Cheltenham plays to his strengths. The Stayers’ Hurdle is a very stiff three miles. There is no way Klassical Dream is going to get that soft lead again and he will have to settle in behind to get up the hill at Cheltenham.

“Champ I was very impressed with, but it is still up in the air where he will go. Will he go here or the Gold Cup, he has an entry in that too and they are still talking about him going there.

“It’s Flooring Porter for me. He was beaten only two lengths at Christmas after losing about eight lengths at the start and he is the value bet for the race.”
