Sam Thompson – I’m A Celebrity Favourite 2023

The favourite to win I’m A Celebrity is Sam Thompson who comes in at odds of 4/6. Those odds imply that Sam Thompson has a 60% chance of winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2023.

Who is Sam Thompson?

Sam Thompson is a 31-year-old Television Personality and Radio Presenter from London, England. Thompson first came to the public eye as part of the E4 reality show Made In Chelsea.

Since then he has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother where he did well, finishing third. In more recent times, Thompson appeared alongside Indiyah Polack as a panellist on Love Island: Aftersun where he offers commentary on the happenings in the Love Island villa with a sprinkle of humour.

Sam’s partner Zara McDermott is also a well-known figure to the British public having appeared on Love Island and more recently on Strictly Come Dancing 2023.

Time In The Jungle So Far

As his status as I’m A Celebrity 2023 betting favourite suggests, Sam has had a great run in the jungle to this point. The 31-year-old has been the life and soul of the camp, he’s brought great entertainment to the show which makes him a worthy favourite.

Recently, Thompson was left feeling annoyed with Nigel Farage after the ex-politician criticised him for not doing his camp duties (not bringing back water to camp). A potential feud with Farage is something that could play in Sam’s favour as the former UKIP member has many people who dislike him due to his politics.

Verdict

Sam Thompson is no stranger to reality TV having made his name on Made In Chelsea and also been a housemate in Celebrity Big Brother. This experience has stood to him in the jungle and given him an advantage over many of the other campmates.

His humour has endeared him to campmates and the public alike so it’s no surprise that Thompson is one of the favourites to win this year’s show.

He isn’t a shoo-in to win this year’s show with stiff competition behind him so I think odds of 4/6 are a tad too short for my liking but with that said he is definitely the campmate to beat at this stage.

Tony Bellew

The 2023 I’m A Celebrity second favourite is Tony Bellew at odds of 5/2. Those odds suggest that Tony has a 28.6% chance of winning this year’s show.

Who is Tony Bellew?

Tony Bellew is a former professional Boxer from Liverpool, England. The 40-year-old achieved great success over the course of his boxing career with a record of 30 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw from 34 total fights. He is a former World Cruiserweight champion and Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion.

Time In The Jungle So Far

Bellew was a bit of a wildcard when he came into the show as a late entry. There can be no doubts about his credentials to win this year’s show now, however.

The former boxer quickly won the public over with his humour. Bellew is the type of person who is unintentionally funny and can make people laugh just by saying what’s on his mind.

Verdict

At odds of 5/2 Tony represents great value for bettors. His humour has brought great entertainment to the show and resonated with campmates too which makes him a really popular figure among the public and camp alike.

It will be tough to beat Sam for the crown of the king of the jungle but if anyone can do it then I think it’s Tony.

Josie Gibson

The 2023 I’m A Celebrity third favourite is Josie Gibson at odds of 6/1. Those odds imply that Josie Gibson has a 14.3% chance of winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2023.

Who is Josie Gibson?

Josie Gibson is a 38-year-old TV Personality and Presenter from Bristol, England. Gibson first shot to fame in 2010 after winning season 11 of Big Brother.

Gibson has since gone on to carve out a successful career in TV with her most notable role being as an announcer and rotating presenter on ITV’s popular morning show This Morning.

Time In The Jungle So Far

Josie went into this year’s show as the favourite to be crowned queen of the jungle. She has since drifted out in the betting market but still remains a serious contender with just Sam and Tony ahead of her in the I’m A Celeb 2023 winner odds.

Her time in the jungle so far has been generally positive but in the past week, she has been outshined by Sam and Tony and taken more of a backseat in terms of air time.

Verdict

Josie is a generally likeable personality which we saw in 2010 when she won Big Brother, although that was a long time ago.

In other words, the public feel like they know the ‘real Josie’ and more importantly, they like the ‘real Josie’. She has a lot of fans from her appearances on This Morning where she is a well-liked figure.

The odds of 6/1 on Josie seem about right to me. At this stage in the show she is a dark horse rather than a front runner. The former Big Brother winner will need a strong finish but if Sam and/or Tony make a misstep then she’ll be right back in with a chance of being crowned queen of the jungle.

Nigel Farage

Another campmate who is in contention at 10/1 in the betting to win I’m A Celebrity 2023 is Nigel Farage. Those odds imply that Nigel Farage has a 9.1% chance of winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2023.

Who is Nigel Farage?

Nigel Farage is a 59-year-old former British Politician and currently a Broadcaster. Farage is best known for serving as UKIP leader and campaigning in favour of ‘Brexit’.

The former British Politician is a divisive figure in Britain and Europe, to put it mildly. Many I’m A Celebrity fans have claimed that they will not be watching this year’s show due to the inclusion of Farage as one of the campmates.

In recent years Farage has retired from politics although he has still not been afraid to share his opinions on political matters. He currently works as a host on GB News where he has his own show.

Time In The Jungle So Far

Farage has seen plenty of bushtucker trial action which is no surprise given that there is a large part of the British public that does not like Farage.

In those bushtucker trials Nigel has done quite well. It’s fair to say that his time in the jungle to this point has been a little less eventful than what many might have expected prior to the beginning of this year’s show.

Verdict

There is also a large part of the British public that love Nigel Farage for his far-right politics and this should give him a great chance of reaching this year’s final. It may even give him a chance at winning the show.

Farage is an interesting outside bet at odds of 10/1. He has a strong base of support with a lot of people in Britain who agree with his political views as we saw in the Brexit referendum a few years ago.
