Six Nations Trophy

Ireland Backed For Six Nations While England’s Price Drifts

The Irish rugby team are fancied to get their Six Nations campaign off to a flying start this weekend with their odds shortening to get the better of Wales despite some injury concerns.

Ireland forwards Caelan Doris and Quinn Roux have been ruled out of Sunday’s Six Nations opener against Wales but that hasn’t put the punters off as Andy Farrell’s men are now 8/13 favourites from 8/11 while Wales are 11/8.

The chances of Ireland taking home the Six Nations title were given a new burst of hope on Tuesday after market leaders England began to drift for the first time in weeks.

The Boys in Green are now 7/2 from 9/2 to win the tournament and have also come in for some early support for a fourth Grand Slam title having shortened into 17/2 from 10/1.

Defending champions England however have seen their chances drift out to 6/5 favourites from 21/20 to land their fourth Six Nations crown in six years ahead of France who are 12/5 from 11/4.
