Jennifer Zamparelli To Land New TV Role On RTE?

Five of Ireland’s top female TV personalities are battling it out for the chance to present their own Saturday night chat show on RTE and Jennifer Zamparelli is the 9/4 favourite to land the role, cut from 5/1.

The Bridget & Eamon star currently hosts her own mid-morning show on 2FM and has worked alongside Nicky Byrne in 2018 as a co-host of Dancing with the Stars Ireland.

In recent days Jennifer, Kathryn Thomas, Angela Scanlon, Doireann Garrihy and Stefanie Preissner have all presented pilot shows for RTE bosses so they now have the hard job of deciding who the new Queen of the Saturday Night Show will be.

TV and radio broadcaster Kathryn Thomas is a 3/1 chance, Angela Scanlon is 11/4, Doireann Garrihy is 9/2 from 11/2 and screen writer and author Stefanie Preissner is the 11/2 outsider.

The Saturday night slot is currently held by Ray D’Arcy who could see the number of episodes of his television chat show The Ray D’Arcy Show more than halved from 32 shows to 13.

Comedian Tommy Tiernan is reportedly set to take over the Saturday night slot in January and February next year and will then make way for the new female chat-show host, who will take the helm in March and it will run for eight to 10 weeks.
