Juror Comments Damage Ireland’s Eurovision Hopes

Ireland’s odds to qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday have dwindled after a juror, who has since been axed, awarded Ireland just one point for their entry and commented that they have ‘lost it completely’ in relation to the Eurovision.

The comments have had a knock-on effect as punters inundated us with bets on Ireland not to qualify for the final, resulting in the odds shortening into 1/2 from 8/11.

Ireland to qualify for the final with Brendan Murray and “Dying to Try” is now priced at 6/4 having been eased all the way out from Evens.

Portugal are the new 7/4 favourites to win semi-final one on Tuesday night with their entry ‘Amar Pelos Dois’ after they were supported in from 11/4 early Tuesday morning.

Previous frontrunners, Armenia, have drifted out to 2/1 second favourites from 9/4 with Sweden shortening into 3/1 from 7/2 ahead of their semi-final performance.
