It’s A Kind Of Magic! Boylesportsmagic The Favourite For Coursing Derby

With the draw for the BoyleSports Coursing Derby almost upon us, it is our very own Boylesportsmagic who is positioned at the top of the market.

After his emphatic win in Abbeyfeale, he was added into the market as an 8/1 shot. Magic’s form has since been boosted following Huntingtown’s win in the Ballymena Trial Stake (now 10/1 for the Derby).

These two are followed in the betting by the Kevin Barry trained Rumour Has it (also 10/1) and Ballymac Bingo at 12/1.

Brendan Matthews looks to have a very strong hand heading into the Derby, with three of his runners; Huntingtown, Needham Ougham and Bexhill Liam, all floating around the top of the market, he is the one trainer all bookmakers fear heading to Clonmel.

Our biggest losers so far in the ante post book are Rumour Has It, Ballymac Bingo and Somelittlerazor.

In the Oaks we have a top-heavy market with the jolly Newinn Fifi (7/1) and Crafty Perfecto (12/1) the two most popular bitches in the Classic. These two have already met, in the final of the Corn Na Feile Oaks, with Fifi running out a convincing winner.

Ballymac Enya is an interesting contender here, currently a 10/1 chance in the market our traders expect her to go off well shorter than this on the opening morning.
