Large Majority Of BoyleSports Customers Back PSG To Beat Atalanta On Wednesday

Atalanta host Paris St-Germain at the Estádio da Luz on Wednesday night and the French champions are favourites for the game with 91% of BoyleSports customers getting behind them.

This will be the first competitive game between Atalanta and PSG, and the French side have never won a single game against Italian opposition in the UEFA Champions League (D4 L2). They’ve also never kept a clean sheet in those six matches, but they are the 20/21 favourites cut from 11/10.

Despite losing their opening three games this season, Atalanta are the first UEFA Champions League debutants to reach the quarter-finals of the competition since Leicester City in 2016/17 and the first Italian side to do so since Lazio in the 1999/00 campaign.

However, their odds have drifted out to 12/5 from 2/1 even though they have won their last four UEFA Champions League games, the longest current run alongside Bayern Munich.

Neymar has scored 12 goals in his last 16 UEFA Champions League knockout games. In fact, since 2014/15, only Cristiano Ronaldo (33), Lionel Messi (16) and Robert Lewandowski (14) have found the net on more occasions than the PSG forward in the latter stages of the competition. Neymar is 6/5 to score anytime.

Furthermore, 75% of PSG’s UEFA Champions League games this season have ended with an odd total number of goals, with 10/11 for an odd number of goals to be scored while an even number is 5/6. PSG have kept a clean sheet in their last three matches and are 13/5 to do so again.

Atalanta will play Paris St-Germain in one of the tougher quarter-final match-ups to predict, but 91% of our punters have backed PSG into 20/21 favourites from 11/10.
