Treaty United v Waterford FC Betting Odds

Treaty United – 8/1

Waterford – 1/4

The draw – 9/2

Preview

Treaty have been solid in recent weeks with two wins, two draws, and one defeat. That run of form has seen them rise to sixth on the table and only three points behind Bray for the final playoff spot. The form of Enda Curran along with his partnership with Dean George has bee crucial to their season rekindling back to life.

A win on Friday could bring Treaty up to fifth and put them within touching distance of Athlone.

Waterford comes into this match with three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five. Last Friday night they had a disappointing 2-2 draw against Longford, missing an opportunity to reduce the gap between themselves and Galway at the top to eleven points.

Despite this, you would still fancy Waterford to be too good for the resurgent Treaty this coming Friday.

Treaty United 1-3  Waterford FC

Bray Wanderers v Wexford FC

Bray Wanderers v Wexford FC Betting Odds

Bray – 8/13

Wexford – 7/2

The draw – 9/2

Preview

Bray finds themselves in 5th position and currently in the final playoff spot after a season which so far has certainly been more positive than last year. They have two draws, two defeats and one win in their last five. Their most recent result was a 0-0 draw against Finn Harps.

Bray needs a victory on Friday with Treaty breathing down their necks. However, if results go their way, they could rise to third and three points off Cobh. An indicator of just how tight the First Division table is.

Wexford are in poor form, despite being in seventh position. Three defeats, one draw and one win in their last five outings means that Longford and Finn Harps are both within touching distance of a side many expected to be playoff bound before the season started.

With that being said, a win could bring Wexford up to sixth and two points behind Bray in the final playoff spot so the table can change quickly.

Prediction

Bray Wanderers 2-1 Wexford FC

Athlone Town v Galway United Betting Odds

Athlone Town – 11/2

Galway United – 4/11,

The draw – 7/2

Preview

Athlone’s dominant 1-4 victory over Wexford last Friday Night makes it three wins and two defeats in their last five matches, four points behind Cobh but with Bray breathing down their necks two points behind in fifth place.

This match will be a free hit for Athlone, with Galway having earned 27 points more this season due to their First Division dominance.

Galway uncharacteristically dropped points against consistent Cobh last Friday Night and will be looking to put that result behind them and maintain their title charge. Victory against Athlone could bring them sixteen points clear at the top of the table.

Prediction

Athlone Town 1-3 Galway United

Finn Harps v Cobh Ramblers

When? 8.00 pm, Friday, 14th July

Where? Ballybofey, Donegal

Finn Harps v Cobh Ramblers Betting Odds

Finn Harps – 5/2

Cobh – 10/11

The draw – 5/2

Preview

Finn Harps have one draw, three defeats and one win in their last five. They currently occupy second from bottom on the table following their 0-0 draw against Bray last Friday Night. However, a win against Cobh could bring them up to seventh in a packed bottom of the table.

Cobh are unbeaten in their last five matches with four wins and, arguably most impressively, a 1-1 draw against league leaders Galway last time out.

The Ramblers find themselves comfortably positioned in the second playoff spot, ten points behind Waterford in third but four ahead of Athlone in fourth. Shane Keegan deserves a lot of credit for the job he is doing, considering their 36-point total from 22 games is already 19 points more than their total from 32 games last season.

Prediction

Finn Harps 0-2 Cobh Ramblers

Longford Town v Kerry FC

When? 7.30 pm, Friday 15th July

Where? Bishopsgate, Longford

How To Watch? LOITV.ie

Longford Town v Kerry FC Betting Odds

Longford Town – 1/3

Kerry FC – 15/2

The draw – 7/2

Preview

Longford have recovered from three defeats on the spin to earn four points in their last two matches, with them getting an impressive 2-2 draw against second-placed Waterford last time out.

They remain eight points off a playoff spot, and it would take a colossal end-of-season run for them to reverse their fortunes. Although you can never say never as Stephen Henderson is recruiting well recently, with Beineón O’Brien-Whitmarsh scoring five goals in 6 games since signing for the club.

Kerry have lost their last five matches in what’s been a difficult first season of League of Ireland football. However, despite the poor results, there remains cause for optimism in the Kingdom as they’ve lost their last four matches by only a solitary goal.

It’s been a case of fine margins, margins that will surely fall in their favour sooner rather than later again, and Longford is a winnable match, even if it is away from home. Leo Gaxha remains in flying form with four goals and four assists in twenty-one matches this season.

Prediction

Longford Town 0-1  Kerry FC
