Leicester Trimmed For FA Cup Glory Despite Late Spurs Equaliser

Despite being held to a 2-2 draw after Harry Kane converted a late equaliser from the penalty spot, Leicester have been trimmed into 33/1 from 40/1 to win the FA Cup trophy for the first time having been beaten finalist on four previous occasions.

Tottenham remain 12/1 to lift the trophy for a ninth time whilst holders Arsenal, who recorded a 3-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday, are now 11/2 from 6/1 to retain the trophy but it’s Manchester City who have overtaken them at the head of the betting.

Manuel Pellegrini’s squad are now 5/1 from 13/2 to win the trophy for a sixth time having last lifted it back in 2011 whilst neighbours Manchester United, who scraped through on Saturday thanks to a late Wayne Rooney penalty, have been eased to 7/1 from 13/2.

Chelsea recorded a 2-0 victory over Scunthorpe United in Sunday’s early kick off and are now 6/1 from 13/2 to go all the way, whilst Liverpool who will have to replay Exeter City following their 2-2 draw on Friday night have been eased out to 11/1 from 15/2. Their neighbours Everton are now 14/1 from 16/1 after they progressed to the fourth round following a 2-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.

Leicester City fans may well say that they were robbed in the FA Cup but they are still in the competition and may well have Jamie Vardy back for the replay.
