Lewis Hamilton is 6/1 per the latest F1 odds at BoyleSports to win the 2025 Formula One World Drivers’ Championship as he announced on Thursday that he would join Ferrari next year.

Hamilton, who already shares a record haul of championships with F1 legend Michael Schumacher will be bidding for an eighth title this year, but if he fails to fire in his final season for Mercedes, it could be a fitting way to smash the record if he follows in Schumacher’s footsteps and takes the chequered flag in the red of Ferrari.

The Stevenage born star may have his work cut out, with Ferrari having failed to win a Constructors’ Championship since 2008 and Kimi Räikkönen being the last Ferrari driver to claim a Drivers’ Championship, all the way back in 2007.

Hamilton’s uphill task has not stopped punters weighing in behind his odds of 8/1 to win his first race for Ferrari or his chances of getting Ferrari back on track and winning a Drivers’ Championship.

With Michael Schumacher racking up six titles in a row between 1999 and 2005, F1 fans will be hoping that Hamilton can reignite Ferrari’s former dominance and hit the accelerator towards further titles from 2025 onwards.

With a final season with Mercedes on the horizon this year, Hamilton is the 9/1 second favourite for the Drivers’ Championship, but the odds are stacked against him ending his tenure there on a high, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen a red-hot 1/5 shot to continue his podium dominance and lift the trophy this year.
