Manchester’s Molly Smith is the odds-on 8/11 favourite alongside Tom Clare (4/6) to join the illustrious list of Love Island winners per the latest entertainment odds at BoyleSports.
Fans of the hit ITV show were hopeful that Molly would rekindle her romance with former flame Callum Jones, with the couple having spent three years together after meeting in the villa in series 6. But Thursday night’s episode allowed villa residents a video-call to their loved ones at home and Molly poured cold water on any chance of coupling up with Callum in an emotional call with her friend.
Despite the potential of the duo getting back together going cold, Love Island fans are fanning the flames of Callum’s chances of emerging as this year’s winner among the boys, as he has been backed into 11/4 from 4/1 to be top male, while current partner Jess Gale is also an 11/4 shot to earn the accolade of this year’s villa queen.
Long-time fan favourite Tom Clare still tops the betting charts to be the number one man at 4/6, while Toby Aromolaran and Adam Maxted have fallen out of fashion with viewers. The duo have their work cut-out to make their way to this year’s final, as alongside their partners Georgia Steele and Arabella Chi, they are the likeliest pairings to be packing their bags before Monday’s Grand Finale.
With all of this year’s contestants set to return to the villa for the final episode, there could be drama aplenty as exes are reunited and punters think the show will go right down to the wire. With Tom and Molly the current clear favourites, many will be fearing that Callum could yet be the fly in the ointment for this year’s star pairing.
