Lucky Louth Punter Scoops Thousands Thanks To Dundalk Jockey

Dundalk jockey Shane Gray is the toast of one compatriot this week after he embarked on a hot winning streak that resulted in a four-figure sum making its way into the pocket of a lucky punter back in his native County Louth.

The punter placed a €0.50 each-way Lucky 15 bet in a BoyleSports shop in the Wee County and picked four horses all ridden by the Dundalk rider for trainer Keith Dalgleish at Monday’s meeting at Carlisle.

The flutter was nearly all over at the first hurdle but a thrilling finish to the 2.30 saw 16/1 shot Gometra Ginty get up by a short head to get the ball rolling. With Caustic Love (12/1) and Cliff Bay (10/3) following up in the 3.00 and 4.30, there was now only one horse between the punter and a tasty payout.

Gray then completed a stunning four-timer on the card when Beechwood Jude landed the last race at 5/1 to spark the celebrations back home. For a total investment of €15,

the customer was able to return the shop and swap their betslip for a cool €4,807.

It was a real red-letter day for Keith Dalgleish and Shane Gray at Carlisle, but little did they know how well it went down in one household back in County Louth. We must congratulate our customer on their stunning bet and we certainly hope it wiped away the Monday blues!
