Major Move For Irish Poll To Be Next Year

There has been a major move for the next Irish General Election to be in 2018 with support over the past 48 hours seeing the price collapse into 5/4 from 3/1.

With Enda Kenny keeping tight-lipped about his resignation and a summer break also on the cards for Dáil Éireann, the odds of the Next Irish General Election to be this year has seen a drift.

2017 remains favourite but has been eased to 8/11 from 3/10 having been as short as 1/10 back in February.

2019 is priced at 14/1 with 2020 on offer at 25/1. An Irish General Election not to happen until 2021 or later is a 40/1 longshot.

Traders are now expecting 2018 to take over as favourite sooner rather than later if the interest over the past few days continues.
