Mariah Carey Backed For UK Christmas Number One
Mariah Carey has been backed to land the 2020 UK Christmas Number One title for the first time with All I Want For Christmas Is You.
The festive hit, which was released 26 years ago could be set to claim the top spot and is now into 5/1 from 8/1 after sustained support today.
Comedian Matt Lucas has put a festive spin on his successful charity song Thank You Baked Potato, which was released earlier this year to raise money to feed NHS workers, by recording Merry Christmas, Baked Potato. Lucas is 40/1 from 50/1 to land the coveted UK Christmas Number One gong.
This year, the contenders will be aiming to snap the Christmas number one title from LadBaby, who has taken the title for the past two years and although he remains the 10/11 favourite, Liam Gallagher is hot on his heels as the 4/1 second favourite, cut from 6/1.
The former Oasis star is on the list with All You’re Dreaming Of and could spring a surprise.
