Meath Maestro Sweeps Up At Cheltenham With €10,000 Win

A County Meath native is toasting mega success after their Horse Racing nous led them to a stunning five-figure bonanza in the midst of the Cheltenham Festival.

The anonymous punter placed a €4 each-way Lucky 15 bet in their local BoyleSports shop on Wednesday, picking four horses on day two of the Festival.

8/1 pick City Island got the bet off to a flier in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle, while 7/2 shot Topofthegame’s subsequent victory in the RSA Chase took the expectant punter half way to the fortune.

They were then left with a nervous wait until the last two races but Band Of Outlaws (5/1) justified favouritism in the Fred Winter leaving them glued to the screen for the last race.

Again it was the SP favourite who had the weight of the punter’s expectations on his back, but it didn’t stop Envoi Allen landing the spoils in the Champion Bumper having been picked out at 4/1.

With all four selections winning, they were able to return to the shop and exchange their betslip for an astounding total of €10,410.69.
