Mister Fisher Odds Slashed For Ryanair After Silviniaco Conti Win

Mister Fisher has seen his odds of winning the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival more than halved after landing the feature Silviniaco Conti Chase at Kempton.

Nicky Henderson’s 8-year-old had pulled up at the same track in the King George over Christmas, but it was a more comfortable assignment on Saturday as he comfortably justified favouritism to score by 1¾ lengths over Eldorado Allen.

That saw him slashed into 14/1 from 33/1 for the Ryanair Chase

…although the Willie Mullins-trained Allaho remains a clear antepost favourite at 7/4 in the betting.

Henderson meanwhile has given the green light for a mouth-watering clash between his Arkle winner Shishkin and Energumene at next weekend’s Clarence House Chase at Ascot. The latter was eased to 7/4 from 8/13 off the back of the news, with Shishkin shortening into 4/7 from even money to extend his unbeaten record in completed races over jumps.

Sporting John also made a move up the betting for the Stayers’ Hurdle having been backed down to 14/1 from 25/1 after his win at Warwick, while Threeunderthrufive is now a 14/1 shot from 20/1 for the Festival Novices’ Chase following his win at the same track.
