Mrs Brown Set To Top Christmas TV Ratings

Punters are expecting Brendan O’Carroll’s Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special to be the top TV programme viewed on Christmas Day in the UK.

Initially installed at 6/4, Mrs Brown’s Boys is now odds on at 4/6 to be the most popular with viewers whilst Downton Abbey is its nearest rival in the betting at 4/1.

Eastenders is next in the betting at 5/1 whilst The Queen’s Speech, which will be aired on ITV and BBC, has drifted yet again and is now priced at 8/1 having initially been priced up as the favourite earlier in the month.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special can be backed at 12/1 to dance its way to success with the viewers fresh off the final of this year’s edition.

Doctor Who isn’t expected to trouble the viewing figures at 25/1, whilst soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale can be backed at 33/1 and 50/1.

But it’s Brendan O’Carroll’s hit show that remains all the rage with punters and traders are reporting a heavy payout should Mrs Brown keep Downton Abbey at bay.
