Next Leeds Manager Betting Odds – Who Will Replace Jesse Marsch?

We have the next Leeds Manager betting odds for you after Jesse Marsch was sacked this Monday following a poor run of form.

The club find themselves languishing just above the relegation places at 17th in the Premier League table at the time of Marsch’s sacking. In their last five league games Leeds are without a win with three draws and two losses.

The decision makers at the club have decided that they’d seen enough so Marsch’s time as Leeds manager has come to an abrupt end.

Betting Odds For The Next Leeds Manager

Carlos Corberan – Favourite To Be Next Leeds Manager

The early betting favourite to become the next permanent Leeds manager is Carlos Corberan at 5/4 odds. The Spanish coach is currently managing West Brom in the Championship. Since taking over at the championship side in late October of 2022 he has led a massive surge up the league’s table. The Baggies were second from bottom when he joined.

Corberan also has strong ties to Elland Road having coached the Leeds United U23s squad from 2017-2020. Given the Spaniard’s familiarity with the club and the incredible job he has done at West Brom, he is deserving of favouritism in the race to be the next Leeds manager.

Ralph Hasenhuttl

Hasenhuttl, who was most recently manager at Southampton, is another familiar name in the running to become the next permanent Leeds manager at odds of 11/2.

The board at St Mary’s decided to sack the Austrian coach in early November with the team in the relegation zone having gained only 12 points from the first 14 games of the Premier League season.

Southampton are currently bottom of the table with Hasenhuttl’s replacement Nathan Jones among the favourites to be the next Premier League manager out. This might suggest to Leeds that Hasenhuttl isn’t mostly to blame for Southampton’s poor start to the season.

The 55 year old has had success with RB Leipzig, who he guided to a second place finish in the Bundesliga in 2017. If Leeds want to bring a high intensity Gegenpress style of play to Elland Road then Hasenhuttl could be a potential suitor.

Marcelo Bielsa

The former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is an interesting name to keep an eye out for in the next permanent Leeds manager betting. Bielsa has seen his odds plummet from 18/1 in the early betting all the way down to 8/1.

The Argentine had great success at Elland Road in his first spell in the dugout. He guided the club back to the Premier League from the Championship and then coached them to a top half finish in their first season in England’s top flight.

Many Leeds United fans would welcome the return of Bielsa as some feel that the poor form before his sacking had more to do with injuries and the players available to him than the coach himself.

Marcelo Gallardo

The former manager of Argentine giants River Plate could be in contention to become the next Leeds manager according to the early betting odds. Marcelo Gallardo is among the early favourites at odds of 7/1 for the job.

The 46 year old coach left River Plate when his contract ended in December stating that he wanted to take a short break from coaching. In Argentina he is one of the most respected managers having guided the Buenos Aires club to fourteen titles in his time there.

He has previously been linked with Manchester United and Barcelona which tells you just how highly rated he is among the top European clubs too. If Leeds can persuade Gallardo to take over at Elland Road it would be a massive coup for the club.

Ange Postecoglou

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou was initially second favourite in the betting odds to replace Jesse Marsch as Leeds United manager but has drifted out to odds of 9/1. Postecoglou has received a lot of praise for the job he has done at Celtic Park, including compliments from former Celtic coach Gordon Strachan, since taking over in June of 2021.

The joint Australian-Greek national came to prominence for the job he did managing the Australia national team where he led the country to its first ever AFC Asian Cup. If Postecoglou has eyes on a move to the Premier League then the vacancy at Leeds United could be the perfect opportunity for him.
