Next President of Ireland Odds Cut For Dana

Dana Rosemary Scallon is being backed to become the next President of Ireland in 2025 when Michael D. Higgins’ second term is scheduled to come to an end.

Dana was the first artist to bring the Eurovision trophy home to Ireland back in 1970 with ‘All Kinds of Everything’ in Amsterdam.

Now 50 years on since that first victory, the former politician has been gambled with BoyleSports to become the President of Ireland with her odds plummeting into 200/1 from 500/1 on Sunday afternoon.

Dr Tony Holohan is another name that has attracted plenty of support to become the next President of Ireland.

The Chief Medical Officer hosts Government briefings every night of the week on the Covid-19 pandemic and was backed into 50/1 from 80/1 last month to replace Michael D. Higgins and take his place his place in Áras an Uachtaráin.

Vice President of the European Parliament Mairead McGuinness, is the clear 9/2 favourite to land the role.

It’s been 50 years since Dana lit up the stage in Amsterdam and brought home the Eurovision to Ireland and punters are getting behind the singer to replace Michael D.Higgins.
