2024 US Presidential Candidates
Donald Trump
Donald Trump is the second favourite in the betting odds and therefore second most likely person to be next US President. Trump’s odds of becoming the next US President are 11/4 which gives him a 26.7% chance of winning the 2024 US Presidential Election.
Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States of America after a surprise election win over Hillary Clinton who seemed certain to become the first female President in US history.
Following his inauguration on January 20th, 2017, during his four years in office Trump cut a polarising figure in the White House. Many criticised his brash outspoken and erratic demeanour during his time in office with others crediting him for his “straight talking” and “honest” style.
Throughout his term in office, partially due to his loyal support, he still averaged an approval rating of 41% reaching a high point of 49% and a low point of 34% before he left office in January 2021.
Trump was ousted as president by Joe Biden in November 2020 in a very tight election race that came all the way down to the wire where Biden and Trump both received the most votes of any candidate ever. That election was full of controversy too with Trump claiming to this day that there was election fraud involved with the vote-counting process.
Many asked whether Trump would fight again in 2024 and on November 15, 2022, he announced his candidacy for the 2024 election.
Ron DeSantis 4/1
Ron DeSantis is an American politician and member of the Republican Party. He is most well-known for his position as Governor of Florida which is an office he has held since January 2019.
DeSantis is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and he has some seriously impressive educational credentials as he has graduated from both Yale University and Harvard Law School.
Ron arguably also offers perspective voters the chance to vote for a calmer and less erratic Republican candidate than many would consider Trump to be and could be more palatable to Democratic and Independent swing voters.
The Florida native would be one of the youngest-ever US Presidents if he were to go on and win the next election as he is only 44 years of age. He has served in the military with the US Navy which will make him very popular among certain sections of the US electorate.
Ron DeSantis is currently 4/1 in our latest next US President odds to win the race for the White House.
Kamala Harris 25/1
Kamala Harris is an American politician and attorney who is the 49th and current vice president of the United States. Harris comes from a background in law having graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Many would consider her to be the real brains and operations behind Joe Biden and she very could have her eye on becoming the first Female President in 2024.
Nikki Haley 33/1
Nikki Haley is an American politician who served as the 116th governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017. She was the 29th United States Ambassador to the United Nations for two years, from January 2017 through December 2018.
