Nothing Will Beat Unowhatimeanharry At Cheltenham

It was a good night at Dundalk on Friday when we won the last race with Song Of Love. Donnacha gave him a great ride.

My Weekend Runners
Drawn in 14 he came from last to win. I’m not sure how well handicapped he was but the race worked out well for him. It was nice to have a winner on the evening.

Of my other runners, Kalopsia ran well. She was second in the Mares’ Listed Hurdle in Thurles on Sunday. Marchese Marconi ran a good race in Navan. We had a few runners at Fairyhouse also who did OK so it wasn’t a bad weekend.

Other Weekend Racing
Unowhatimeanharry has now won seven times from seven runs. He has improved a lot since joining Harry Fry and they’ve clearly done a great job with him. With the heavy fog, it was difficult to see clearly but even with Ballyoptic falling at the last, Unowhatimeanharry had it wrapped up.

He’s now a short price for the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham and deservedly so.

I can’t see anything there at the minute that will beat him.

Obviously there are some very high class horses that could go down that route but time will tell.

He was by far my racing highlight of the weekend.

Fairyhouse
Minella Till Dawn won a very decent Maiden Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Saturday and looks to be a very exciting horse.

Yorkhill jumped very well in his race. He was a great horse last year and he looks like he’s going to take top rank over fences. I don’t think we’ve seen enough yet to tell if he’s a JLT or Arkle horse. Willie, Ruby, Patrick and co will decide that closer to the time.

Death Duty
We saw another win for Death Duty at Navan on Sunday. He is now unbeaten over hurdles in the Gigginstown House colours and looks like a very high class horse. Gordon has always thought a lot of him and he’ll turn into a high class hurdler and hopefully he might even make him into a better chaser in time.
